One of the biggest names in the online gambling affiliate world has now changed its name. Gambling.com Group Limited announced on the 22nd of July 2026 that it has become Grandstand Limited, with its ordinary shares trading on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker GRSD from the market open on the 23rd of July. The CUSIP is unchanged, however, and shareholders don’t need to take any action.
What Changed, and What Didn’t
In terms of how the company operates, the consumer-facing side of things stays pretty much exactly the same. The company said the new corporate name is designed to draw a clear line between Grandstand, the company, and Gambling.com, the consumer brand, which continues to operate as a comparison and reviews website.
Grandstand’s brands include OddsJam, OpticOdds, RotoWire, Gambling.com and Casinos.com, and some of the partner solutions that they operate include sports data, advertising, audience monetisation, and entertainment and tickets.
Chief executive and co-founder Kevin McCrystle said the name change now does a much better job of showing the “the intelligence layer” of the company across sports, gaming and entertainment. McCrystle, a co-founder and long-serving chief operating officer, succeeded Charles Gillespie as CEO in May, with Gillespie moving to the position of executive chairman.
Interesting Timing – For Gambling.com Group and Kiwis
The rebrand comes at quite an interesting time for the company, especially as they’re been going through some quite tough times financially. Their first-quarter revenue in 2026 was pretty flat at US$40.4 million, with sports data services up 13%. Overall marketing revenue fell by 5%, and the company also announced that they were restructuring around “wider use of artificial intelligence”, which is expected to reduce the total workforce by around 25%.
The company’s second-quarter results are due once the market closes on Thursday the 13th of August 2026, with McCrystle and chief financial officer Elias Mark hosting a call at 4.30pm ET.
So why does this matter for Kiwis? Well, it all comes down to the fact that the Department of Internal Affairs has confirmed that initial regulatory decisions made by Cabinet ban affiliate marketing under the Online Casino Gambling Act 2026.
A company like Gambling.com Group that designed its business around affiliate performance marketing – repositioning itself as a data and technology business – is, at the very minimum, we feel, a clear signal about where the industry believes durable revenue actually sits – and New Zealand is one of the markets affiliates are following most closely now.

New Zealand’s online casino licence race is officially underway, and that’s because the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) opened the Expression of Interest (EOI) stage on Friday, 17 July. Polymarket is not just focused on political events.
