Verification of This Company Profile
The documents of this company profile include information about Genesis Global Limited identified by its Malta company number C 65325. Corporate status and insolvency court process can be found in the Malta insolvency register, and notices issued by Malta Gaming Authority cover the revocation of its gaming license. Casinos included in the enforcement actions are mentioned in the regulatory notices of Great Britain and Sweden.
About Genesis Global Limited
Genesis Global started out with the brand Casino Cruise in 2014 and further grew by launching more casinos. In December 2022, NEXT.io reported its portfolio of casino brands had developed to nearly twenty casinos. Among these brands were Spinit, Casino Gods and Vegas Hero, whereas Genesis Global Limited was a company behind those casino brands. With such variety, it provided more opportunity for the business compared to its name would imply.
Content suppliers played a great role in expanding the range of games. Pragmatic Play's press release in October 2020 mentioned that its slots appeared to be present at fifteen Genesis Global Limited casino brands. These included Wolf Gold and Megaways games. At the time of this news release, there were mentioned six recent launches, sportsbook and new entries into markets including India, Japan and Spain. Genesis Global Limited thus offered a number of casino websites with gaming content provided by specialist gaming companies.
At the end of 2022, the situation with Genesis Global changed dramatically. Withdrawal from Britain was followed by insolvency proceedings and laying off all workers who were advised that December salaries and notice pay could be non-paid. iGB January 2024 report tells about company's collapse and mentions that Genesis Global Limited had been running 23 websites under the Maltese license. The regulatory notices focused on annulment of authorization, company's obligations to pay and players' funds.
Legal Entity and Management
Insolvency record in Malta provides the information that the registered entity is named Genesis Global Limited, registered number C 65325. The registered office address of the company is 28, GB Buildings, Level 3, Watar Street, Ta' Xbiex, XBX 1301, Malta. The procedure is filed under number 127/2022, date of judgment is 29 March 2023, and description says: winding up by the court. The Official Receiver is indicated as liquidator, and the company's status is in dissolution.
One of the company founders and CEO of Genesis Global during company's expansion period was Ariel Reem who left the position in December 2022 after over eight years in charge. NEXT.io reported about him leaving the company and named the other founding entrepreneurs — Yoav Dotan, Dan Segev and Gal Thein. Coincidently, it was the moment of withdrawing from the British market. Insolvency case places the company now with the liquidator.
The liquidation proceeded to create further court procedures following the revocation of the license. In its report dated July 2025 of the partial judgements, Mamo TCV Advocates noted applications from the two applicants that had not gotten recognition as creditors. Their request to get permission to appeal the judgement under their mode of appeal was turned down. The firm representing the company in liquidation indicated that the judgement was specifically related to the rules of appeal on Maltese winding up proceedings.
Licence Information
Genesis Global operated with Malta authorisation MGA/CRP/314/2015. Enforcement register of MGA shows its suspension since 16 January 2023 due to winding up of the company. This suspended it from carrying out gaming activities, registration of players and acceptance of deposits based on that authorisation. The company was expected to collaborate with the regulators during this process of liquidation.
MGA revocation notice dated 12 January 2024 indicated that the cancellation took effect from the previous day and that all pending fees should be cleared and references to the authorisation removed. Genesis Global had to present transaction reports and bank statements indicating return of money to the players, and MGA stated that it was supporting the appointed liquidator in this regard. In Great Britain, the company had a combined licence that allowed it to offer casino games, real-event betting and virtual betting. This license was suspended by the Gambling Commission on 20 July 2020, but the suspension was lifted on 14 October following compliance improvements. The investigations continued leading to the financial penalty and audit requirement. Genesis Global pulled out from the market in December 2022.
Brands and Operator Relationships
The Gambling Commission notice of 20 July 2020 suspending the licence of the operator mentions these twelve websites of Genesis Global serving Great Britain. Each row indicates an operator brand relationship in the notice. Websites are used to identify the casinos as referenced in older player reports and documents.
| Brand | Historical Website |
|---|---|
| Casoola | casoola.com |
| Casino Planet | casinoplanet.com |
| Kassu | kassu.com |
| Casino Cruise | casinocruise.com |
| Casino Gods | casinogods.com |
| Casino Joy | casinojoy.com |

| Pelaa | pelaa.com |
| Sloty | sloty.com |
| Spela | spela.com |

The enterprise had grown past the scope of those twelve sites. In January 2022, the Commission mentioned fourteen websites. Meanwhile, iGB noted 23 websites with the Malta licence. The differences between those numbers come from the dates and licensing status. This table is based on a constant benchmark: the twelve British websites identified in July 2020.
Regulatory Actions
British Gambling Commission imposed a fine of about £3.8 million on 27 January 2022 due to social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures. The violations cited by the Commission include the example of an NHS nurse who spent £245,000 in just three months while the operator knew that the nurse's annual salary was £30,000. Also, the Commission pointed to the customer who deposited more than £1.3 million and lost £600,000 before the company carried out sufficient checks on the origin of those deposits. Besides, Genesis received a warning and a condition of the licence for another audit.
As for the Spelpaus self-exclusion case from Sweden, it is about failure to identify and to exclude those customers who had blocked themselves from gambling. At first, the Spelpaus decision from March 2019 involved warning and a fine of SEK4 million. However, it went through a few stages of appeals. Finally, the Supreme Administrative Court confirmed the warning in May 2023 but remitted the penalty for reassessment. Later, in its decision dated 31 August 2023, Spelinspektionen decided to impose SEK1 million penalty.
A separate incident involved bonus offers. Spelinspektionen handed down a reprimand and fine dated 29 May 2019. However, the Swedish Administrative Court supported a finding that the rules had been violated, yet on 15 June 2020 lowered the amount of the fine based on a review of the estimation of the turnover used to calculate it. The court's judgement became final.
