I have recently been reviewing brand new gambling sites, but today I decided to check out a well-known casino site that has been operating for 2 decades. It is a Platinum Play casino that was established back in 2004, just a little bit later than Casino Kingdom (2000) and Zodiac Casino (2001). It is now operated by Baytree Limited and holds a license from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.
I am always fascinated by operators that have been delivering fun to players for such a long time. I am intrigued by what they offer contemporary players and whether they manage to keep up with modern requests. I am excited to discover what kind of games Platinum Play offers Kiwi players, the bonuses it provides to both newbies and regular players, the payment methods it accepts, and its safety in 2026.
As always, stay with me, and I would be happy to share my personal gambling experience.
My Playing Experience at Platinum Play Casino NZ
| Timing | 9 hours |
| Registration | 2 minutes, easy and fast |
| KYC | ID and proof of address |
| Support | Live chat and email. Live chat support works fine, the assistants are real people. |
| Playing time | 8 hours |
| Deposit and withdrawal | I deposited 10 NZD via Skrill with no fees. I also chose Skrill to cash out my winnings. Withdrawal took 2 working days. |
Registration is fast and requires all the standard details like email and date of birth to create an account. There are not many deposit options, so I chose Skrill to fund my account. Even though Platinum Play allows you to deposit as little as 5 NZD to play for real money, the minimum deposit requirements for receiving a welcome bonus are 10 NZD. The bonus is 100% + 10 Platinum Play free spins on the Mega Millionaire Wheel. The wagering requirements for the welcome bonus are 35x, which is quite manageable.
I was impressed with the speed of transactions, plus I didn’t have to pay a fee. Also, the welcome bonus appeared immediately in my account: I didn’t have to use a Platinum Play bonus code or confirm any action.
Actually, I found that Platinum Play is from the casino group as Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, Kiwi’s Treasure, and Spin Casino – all well-respected and cool operators. So, if you know these casinos, you will find that their interface is similar, plus they use the same software providers.
I tested the casino on my mobile, and it works pretty well. All pages, as well as games, load fast. If you want to have some fun on the go, Platinum Play won’t let you down.
What I really liked is that the games I came across in the lobby offer big wins and have bonuses to help players have a better experience and bigger potential wins.
There is also an achievement system that I am going to talk about in detail later. Basically, if you play the same slot for a long time from the list of specific slots, you can get achievements and therefore get bonuses. That’s a great addition to your normal routine at an online casino.
The slots I played were Give Me Gold: Mo Fish, Carnaval Drums, Candy Paradise, Shogun Of Time, Tiki Clusters Blaze & Boom with a big win of 3.96 NZD, Blazing Bison Gold Blitz, Spin Spin Sugar, Zeus Ultim8 Pays, Pedro Ventura And The Wheel Of Aztecs, Blazing Bonanza Rush Express, Action Boost Gladiator, Wheel Of Winners Link&Win, Elementastic Tug Of War with a 7.60 NZD win, Jade Shuriken where I managed to trigger a bonus game with respins and win 3.00 NZD, Mega Diamonds Jackpot with a win of 4.50 NZD and Max Spinwell: Temple Explorer.
To withdraw my wins, I needed to verify my documents. Also, I found that withdrawals take a bit longer compared to other casinos I have recently reviewed. But I guess it is due to the methods. Platinum Play doesn’t accept crypto, which guarantees instant payouts. In the case of Skrill withdrawals, the waiting time was 2 working days.
And finally, I would like to show a few top-rated slots and my comparison of their return-to-player rates at the Platinum Play casino site and the slots providers’ sites.
| Slot name | Provider | RTP on Platinum Play | RTP on provider’s site |
| 9 Masks of Fire | Gameburger Studios | 94,06% | 96,24% |
| Fire and Roses Joker | Triple Edge Studios | 94,01% | 96,01% |
| Wolf Blaze Megaways | Fortune Factory | 94,01% | 95,98% |
| Big Bass Bonanza | Pragmatic Play | 94,02% | 95,71% |
| Wacky Panda | Games Global | 95,94% | 95,94% |
I found that Platinum Play provides slightly lower RTP, which is not a big deal but may negatively affect some players’ decisions.

In 2026, Platinum Play will treat newbies as well as regular players to generous bonuses. I didn’t find a Platinum Play $1 deposit bonus, but bonuses that require as low as 10 NZD. Let’s see what they are.
Welcome Bonus
Kiwi players can claim a first 100% deposit bonus + 10 free spins on the Mega Millionaire Wheel. The second and third deposit bonuses are 100% up to 200 NZD. Each of the bonuses from the welcome pack requires only a 10 NZD deposit and is subject to 35x wagering requirements.

The more points a player gains, the higher they can climb on the leaderboard. Prizes are displayed as credits, and the leaderboard will reset every Tuesday.

Security and Fairness at Platinum Play Casino
Since Platinum Play casino was established in 2004, it was important for me to check how modern security measures are and whether they meet the modern standards players are looking for.
License
Platinum Play holds a license from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.
Company’s background
The casino is operated by Baytree (Alderney) Limited (No.2012). This is an Alderney registered company registered at La Corvee House, La Corvee, Alderney, Channel Islands, GYP 3TQ. Baytree (Alderney) Limited is licensed under the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, eGaming license number 155 C1 (Issued on 15 December 2020).
Security measures
Regarding payments and player information protection, Platinum Play uses 128-bit digital encryption technology. Also, a dedicated security team works around the clock to monitor any suspicious activity, prioritizing players’ safety.
Platinum Play casino takes gambling seriously, which is why it offers responsible gambling options for players who may lose control. There are three different help lines available on their site for gamblers who feel they have a problem. All players who sign up to Platinum Play casino must complete verification, which prevents any underage players from joining.
There are also deposit limit tools that allow players to set a maximum amount to deposit each day. A self-test is also available, where if players answer yes to seven or more questions, they should think about chatting to a professional. Lastly, there is the self-exclusion program, where players restrict their access to gambling for a specific time frame.
How Do Players Rate Platinum Play Casino in NZ?
Players seem to enjoy playing at Platinum Play casino, with players staying loyal to the site for years. Reading through reviews of other players, it seems they enjoy the game choice and the promotions. There are a few concerns about the waiting time to receive winnings. Players complain that it takes up to three weeks sometimes to see winnings back in their account.
Is Platinum Play Legit?
The aim of this review was to find out whether Platinum Play scam or not and what it can offer players. Well, I can definitely say that this gambling site is legit and offers decent entertainment to Kiwis in 2026. There are generous bonus offers, respectable software providers, and reliable payment methods. However, if you are looking for a casino site that accepts crypto, has thousands of games, and pays out instantly, you’d better look for a more modern operator.

15 Oct, 2025Overall, Platinum Play is not bad if you are a fan of the classic style from Microgaming. The slots are very smooth on my phone, and having access to the large progressives such as Major Millions is why I play here. Had no problem cashing out with Visa, and the process took around two days. Licensed by MGA, so I do not have a problem keeping funds there. Reward points are not bad either. Design looks a bit old, and those fees for certain cashout options are frustrating.

15 Oct, 2025Kia ora Ellie, great summary. You nailed it – it’s definitely a go-to for the classic Microgaming progressive hunters. Glad the mobile experience is holding up well for you. Good shout on the withdrawal fees too, that’s the kind of fine print that catches people out. Sophia
