Here at DashTickets, I always look to see which NZ online casinos people are talking about – and I then do my best to review these sites. Today, I’m going to be signing up to Paradise 8 Casino – a site that’s been around since 2005.
SSC Entertainment N.V., a Curacao based company owns Paradise 8 Casino. The site is licensed by the Curacao Gaming Control Board (GCB), although it still lists its old Master License – and it’s available in both instant play and download versions. Is the site worth playing at? Find out in this detailed Paradise 8 Casino review.

I’m going to skip right to the case in this Paradise 8 Casino review – and this is not an approach I would normally take. Unfortunately, there are just so many issues I have with this casino – and you’ll see what these are right now.
Firstly, digging into the site’s terms and conditions, I came across this term:
“All Deposits of 249 USD/EURO/GBP/AUS or less have a max withdrawal of 10X the deposit for that specific play session (all other currencies pegged to USD). Once a withdrawal is approved, the casino applies the 10X rule and corrects the withdrawal to accurately reflect the 10X rule. The remaining funds are deemed ‘Non-Withdrawable’ and are cleared from the player’s balance.”
In my 12+ years of online gambling, I have only come across a rule like this a handful of times – and it’s absolutely shocking to see. Essentially, the casino is saying that unless you’re making large deposits, you’re capped at how much you can withdraw – and this alone makes this casino, in my opinion, totally not worth playing at.
Digging a little deeper into the terms and conditions, I also saw that withdrawals take up to 12 days to approve – and that’s again just shocking in today’s day and age.
Now, to give credit where credit’s due; Paradise 8 Casino does offer a decent selection of deposit methods, including VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Litecoin, Bitcoin, USDT, Ethereum, USDCoin, TRON, Bitcoin Cash, Flexepin, Neosurf, PaySafeCard, Skrill, Neteller, and MiFINITY. Unfortunately, though, I could only see two withdrawal methods – Bitcoin and Bank Transfer – and the site also charges a withdrawal fee of up to €/$40 per withdrawal!
When it comes to games, there’s a semi-decent selection of games, from: Smartsoft Gaming, Instanet, Rival, Tom Horn Gaming, Vivo Gaming, Betsoft, Spinomenal, Dragon Gaming, Saucify, Qora Games, WINGO, Fresh Deck Studios, Felix Gaming, Fugaso. Still, you won’t see any mainstream software providers here – so don’t expect to see titles from Nolimit City, Hacksaw Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, or any names like that.
Registration Steps
Registering at Paradise 8 Casino is straightforward and similar to other online casinos. You need to enter your email address, select a password, and provide your country and preferred currency. After confirming your account via email, you can go ahead and head to the “My Promotions” section to see which bonuses and promotions are available to you.
Bonuses at Paradise 8 Casino Online Casino NZ
Paradise 8 Casino offers a decent selection of bonuses and promotions – and they do things a bit differently to other online casinos. Once you’ve created an account, you’ll be able to go to the “My Promotions” page and see all of the promos that are currently available to you.
Welcome Bonus
It doesn’t actually appear that Paradise 8 Casino offers a standard welcome bonus. When I was writing this review, for example, I went into the “My Promotions” section – and while I did find a lot of different offers, none of these appeared to be specifically available because I was a new player.
There were, however, some bonuses and promotions that looked like welcome bonuses. I could claim a 180% matched deposit bonus on a minimum deposit of $100, for example, along with a 280% matched deposit bonus on a deposit of at least $500.
Paradise 8 Casino VIP Program
Paradise 8 Casino does not appear to operate any type of VIP or loyalty program. There is no dedicated VIP page on their website, and I was unable to find information.
Casino Games You Can Play at Paradise 8 Casino NZ
For some reason, Paradise 8 Casino offers a selection of games from – well, I can only really describe it as non-mainstream providers. You’ll find titles from: Smartsoft Gaming, Instanet, Rival, Tom Horn Gaming, Vivo Gaming, Betsoft, Spinomenal, Dragon Gaming, Saucify, Qora Games, WINGO, Fresh Deck Studios, Felix Gaming, and Fugaso.
I don’t know why there are no big-name brands listed here – but I suspect it has to do with the fact that this is an old Rival-powered casino. Below, I’ll walk you through some of the different games I found while writing this review.
Slots
Like most online casinos today, the vast majority of games offered at Paradise 8 Casino are pokies – and if you’re a fan of Rival/Betsoft games, you will find a pretty decent selection to choose from. I found games like Gold Nugget Rush, Day at the Derby, Mythic Wolf, Jack Frost, Bounding Luck, True Illusions, 72 Fortunes, and Viking Voyage.
Recently, when I write casino reviews, I try really hard to dig into RTP information. This is something that players are increasingly looking for – and it’s a very useful metric to look at, especially if you’re comparing multiple online casinos against one another.
Unfortunately, given that most pokies at Paradise 8 Casino are powered by Betsoft and Rival – RTP information is usually unavailable. I hate this – and it’s something I wish was banned completely. In other words, when you’re playing games from these software providers, most of the time, you have absolutely no way of knowing which RTP setting the game is running at – which, for me, just means I wouldn’t want to play at all.
Live Games
Paradise 8 has a live dealer casino, although it looks very old. Depending on which country you’re playing from, the software provider will change; when I wrote this casino review, the live dealer casino was powered by Fresh Deck Studios. You have to load the game developer’s lobby in a new window, and you will then see which games are available.
I counted around 20 titles, including a few variations of blackjack and roulette, along with Casino Hold’em, and some Auto Roulette tables. Unfortunately, there’s no game show tables – like you’d see from better providers like Evolution (previously Evolution Gaming) or Pragmatic Play.
Jackpots
Paradise 8 Casino doesn’t have a dedicated jackpots tab – although some of its pokies do contain jackpots – most notably those from Betsoft. In these progressive jackpot games, the jackpots are awarded randomly – although playing at higher stakes does increase your chances of winning them.
Payment Methods at Paradise 8 Casino New Zealand
Paradise 8 Casino offers a decent selection of payment methods – but while most of these can be used to make deposits, only two – Bitcoin and Bank Wire – can be used to make withdrawals.
Method | Fee | Deposit Limit | Withdrawal Limit | Withdrawal Timeframe |
VISA | 0 | €25 | N/A | 3-7 Days |
Mastercard | 0 | €25 | N/A | 3-5 Days |
AMEX | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
Litecoin | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
Bitcoin | 0 | €25 | €500 | 0-12 Days |
USDT | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
Ethereum | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
USDCoin | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
TRON | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
Bitcoin Cash | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
Flexepin | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
Neosurf | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
PaySafeCard | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
Skrill | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
Neteller | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
MiFINITY | 0 | €25 | N/A | N/A |
Bank Wire | N/A | N/A | €500 | 0-12 Days |
Now, if you can put aside the ridiculous terms and conditions I pointed out earlier, I should also make you aware that all withdrawals must be approved by both the finance and fraud teams – and it can take up to 12 days to process them! There is also a withdrawal fee of up to €/$40 charged on every withdrawal. Plus, you’re limited to withdrawing a maximum of €/$500 per day, or €/$1,000 per week.
Customer Service at Paradise 8 Casino Online Casino in New Zealand
Paradise 8 Casino offers customer support in three main ways: live chat, phone, and email. While the live chat facility is open 24 hours a day, I noticed that as soon as I had finished registering an account, an auto-message popped up, offering me a bonus. I replied – but wasn’t connected to an operator in the time before I wrote this review.
Paradise 8 Casino has three phone numbers; (+33) (0)1 789 00368, for France, (+34) 91 290 1420, for Spain, and (+1) 718 732 0154 for international callers. I didn’t test out the phone support, but I did read that players have a generally good experience with the customer support team.
Security & Fairness
Whenever I review an online casino, I always check a number of security and fairness metrics – factors that are vital when deciding whether or not a casino is legit, or not. Paradise 8 Casino is no exception, and you can see my findings, below:
License
The Curacao Gaming Control Board (GCB) licenses Paradise 8 Casino. Interestingly, on their “About Us” page they still show their old license – which was a sub-license from a Master License holder in Curacao. Still, this is nothing to be concerned about, as all sub-licenses were automatically ported over to full Curacao Gaming Control Board licenses, with a one or two-year automatic extension.
Company’s Background
SSC Entertainment N.V owns Paradise 8 Casino. The site first opened its virtual doors in 2005.
Security Measures
Paradise 8 Casino conducts Know Your Customer (KYC) checks to prevent underage gambling. However, the verification process can take up to ten business days, which is far too long in my opinion – especially when combined with the site’s ridiculous 12-day maximum withdrawal period!
How Do Players Rate Paradise 8 Casino?
While writing this casino review I spent quite a lot of time reading what other players had to say about Paradise 8. My main takeaway: players like the regular bonuses and promotions, but frequently run into issues with the withdrawal limits, and terms.
Now, as if the 12-day withdrawal time frame wasn’t bad enough, I also saw some players complaining that their cashouts took 15 days to reach them! That’s simply ridiculous, and isn’t going to bode well with players in 2025. Of course, the very low maximum withdrawal limits also make this casino virtually unplayable for high-rollers – and that also totally contradicts the fact that if you deposit less than €/$250, you’re capped at winning 10x your deposit amount anyway!
So, is there a subsection of players for whom Paradise 8 Casino is recommended? Unfortunately, I can’t really see any.
Is Paradise 8 Casino Legit?
Yes – Paradise 8 Casino has been around since 2005, and if you follow their rules, you will get paid. That said, “legit” doesn’t always mean “worth it.” The 12-day payout time is far too slow, the €/$40 withdrawal fees are unnecessary – and the €/$500 per day cashout limit is frankly insulting in 2025.
Worst of all, that shocking 10x withdrawal cap on deposits under €/$250 is something I’ve only seen at a handful of casinos over the past decade – and it’s as player-unfriendly as it gets.
