Alternatives to Afterpay
While Afterpay is currently the most popular pay-it-later service for online casinos, there are some very popular – and well known – alternative services. Three of the most popular ones include:
- Klarna: Offers flexible pay-later options, including Pay in 4 or monthly instalments. Widely accepted across online stores and select online casinos – but not common at New Zealand casinos.
- Laybuy: Similar to Afterpay, Laybuy lets you spread payments over six weekly instalments. Popular in New Zealand for both retail and some online gaming sites have started accepting it recently.
- Zip (formerly PartPay): Provides a pay-in-4 model with flexible repayments. Growing presence in NZ e-commerce, but limited adoption in online casinos. More commonly found on retailer websites.
