Direx N.V.

The information about the company is provided by a Curaçao Commercial Register printout dated 3 August 2024. The information about the company liquidation comes from government notices of Curaçao, while dated Slovak regulatory records reveal where the company Direx was mentioned in relation to casino websites. Such records have different nature: company registration cannot be considered as evidence of a gambling licence, while historical casino disclosure cannot prove that a certain brand is still operated by the same company.

The authorised purpose of Direx N.V. included organisation, marketing, management and operation of remote gaming activities. Interactive casinos, betting, bingo, lotteries and poker were mentioned as the activities of the company in its corporate record. It means that these activities were authorised for the company and does not mean that every activity was conducted or a list of brands.

The company is mentioned in historic records with Direx Limited. The two companies' names can be found together in some casino-related documents and separately in the warning report of ACMA.

Direx N.V. is registered in the Curaçao Commercial Register number 131879. According to the 2024 printout, it was incorporated and established on 19 February 2014 with a statutory seat in Curaçao. Its registered office is located at Heelsumstraat 51 E-Commerce Park, Curaçao and the mailing address is P.O. Box 3075, Curaçao.

At the same time according to the 2024 printout the company is in liquidation since 26 August 2022. There is information about the plan of distribution and final account on 10 January 2023, registration of final statement on 17 April 2023. As liquidator there is Maksim Trafimovich named as well as the custodian of the company's books and records is Green Jade B.V. These points are from the liquidation records but not a description of management of Direx N.V.'s casinos.

Slovak court document dealing with BitStarz mentions the disclosure made on the casino website mentioning Curaçao licence 8048/JAZ of Direx N.V. At the same time it is stated that the website did not have the licence which enables offering the gambling services in Slovakia. These are two different points. The mention of Curaçao licence did not mean that the website had the authority to provide its gambling services in all countries where the website was available.

The 8048/JAZ point is the point from the former Curaçao licensing system. It must not be considered as a current Curaçao Gaming Authority B2C licence for Direx N.V. The commercial registration number 131879 is company number and not gambling licence number.

In the ACMA's interactive gambling report for July–September 2020, Direx N.V. and Direx Limited are listed as six companies which received formal warnings. The summary of the warning does not refer to a particular Direx casino, nor does it refer to the warning as a fine, licence revocation or a legal ruling.

Slovak records also pertain to access to certain casino websites from Slovakia. The court order concerning BitStarz website describes its historical Direx disclosure and orders access to the domain to be blocked under Slovak gambling legislation. The GunsBet court order describes changes in the operators recorded for that website. These site-specific actions should not be confused with the Australian warning issued to Direx N.V.
