Gates Of Olympus Slot Review: My Tips + RTP (Demo)
Over the last few years, I’ve put more spins through Pragmatic Play’s Gates of Olympus than I’d really care to admit – and after some recent testing sessions across some of my favorite NZ casinos, I reckon I’ve earned the right to be able to give this game a proper verdict.
This is very much an iconic Pragmatic Play release, and for many, it’s really the game that put the software provider onto the scene. In this review, I’m going to walk you through exactly what to expect, look at how the game’s bonuses and features work, and more – so, without further ado, let’s get into it!
First Impressions
The first thing you’ll notice when you begin playing Gates of Olympus is the fact that there are no paylines. The game’s played on a 6×5 grid, and instead of paylines or cluster wins, it uses a Scatter Pays mechanic – which means landing 8+ identical symbols anywhere in view is enough to secure a win. Symbols involved in a win then vanish from the reels, with new ones dropping down to take their place.
Visually, it’s a classic Greek mythology-inspired game, and you’ll see Zeus himself floating on the right-hand side of the reels, animating things like big wins and scatter teases!

Multipliers And Free Spins
In the base game and bonus round, Zeus can randomly throw multipliers on the reels, and when he does, these multipliers are worth between 2x and 500x. They stick on the screen, and at the end of that tumble sequence, they have their values applied to the total win. Landing 4+ Scatter symbols in view triggers the main bonus round, and here, you’re awarded 15 free games.
During the bonus, any time you hit multipliers, their values are added up – and any subsequent multipliers that you manage to land then are included when multiplied against the win for that spin, too! You can also win additional Free Spins by landing 3+ extra Scatter symbols during the feature.
Gates of Olympus also has an Ante Bet toggle available in most region, and this allows you to increase your base game stake by 25% in return for a 2x chance of landing the Free Spins bonus naturally. You can also use the game’s Bonus Buy mechanic to buy direct entry into the bonus round for a cost of 100x.

Mobility Compatibility
Like all Pragmatic Play games released today, Gates of Olympus is fully mobile optimised, and while writing this slot review, I actually played the game from my iPhone for a while. you can see a couple of screenshots I took, below:

The mobile-friendly version of the slot was smooth, fast-loading, and easy to navigate. I like how Pragmatic Play has ensured its mobile games render well across all device types, too, and even if your internet connection drops while playing, you should still be able to enjoy a good gaming experience!
Verdict
Gates of Olympus is a clear, aggressive tumbling reels slot with a huge fan base, and it’s easy to see why. The multipliers that are found in both the base game and the bonus can be worth up to 500X, and that means even really small wins can be multiplied massively.
Inside the free spins bonus, the fact that the multipliers stick around too adds to the win potential, and to be honest, the only real word of warning I’d give about Gates of Olympus is that it’s a very high variance game – so expect to see lots of dead spins and even bonuses that don’t pay very well.
