Soo Kim

Soo Kim is Chairman of The Star Entertainment Group. He was appointed to its Board on 28 November 2025.

He is also Chairman of Bally's Corporation, where he has been an independent Director since 2016. He is the founding partner of the investment firm Standard General, serving as its Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer.

Career

Kim has invested in special situations strategies since 1997. He began at Bankers Trust Company, then worked as a Principal at Och-Ziff Capital Management and as a Partner at Cyrus Capital Management.

Other board roles

He is a Director of Bally's Intralot SA and of Pursuit (formerly Coalition for Queens). He is Vice Chairman and a Director of the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies. He is also a Director and former President of the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association.

Kim formerly sat on the boards of Greektown Superholdings and Media General, Inc., and on the Board of Managers of ALST Casino Holdco.
