Phil Leightley

Phil Leightley is General Counsel and Company Secretary at SkyCity Entertainment Group. He was appointed to the role in early 2025. He is responsible for legal strategy and delivery across the SkyCity Group, and he also leads its Company Secretariat function.

Leightley joined SkyCity in 2022 as Deputy General Counsel and Company Secretary. Before that, he held senior roles at leading law firms in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. His practice there covered corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets law.

He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. He holds Law (Honours) and Finance degrees from the University of Auckland.
