Chad Barton

Chad Barton is a company director and senior executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience in global and local listed corporations. He is Deputy Chair of the SkyCity Entertainment Group board, a position he has held since 1 January 2026. He lives in Australia.

He joined the SkyCity board as a director in June 2021. He chairs the Audit Committee and sits on both the People and Culture Committee and the Governance and Nominations Committee.

Career

Barton's background covers capital markets, finance, mergers and acquisitions, and property development, with a focus on the technology, entertainment and services sectors. He has been Chief Financial Officer at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) for Australia and New Zealand, at Salmat Limited and at The Star Entertainment Group Limited. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Nuix Limited, where he led a transformation before stepping down from his global role in the past year.

Other activities

Barton founded Women in Gaming & Hospitality Australasia and was its first Chairperson. The organisation works to advance gender equity in the industry. He has also held board roles with the NeuRA Foundation and the Schizophrenia Research Institute, supporting medical research and mental health advocacy.

He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney.
