Bruce Mathieson Jnr is an Australian businessman and the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of The Star Entertainment Group. He has more than 30 years of experience in the hotel, hospitality and gaming industries. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Bond University.
He was chief executive of ALH Group for over 11 years, and the company website says he led its merger with Endeavour Drinks to form Endeavour Group in 2019, followed by the demerger of Endeavour Group from Woolworths in 2021. Wikipedia reports him as ALH's chief executive in 2011, a period during which there were reports of high-volume poker machine players being targeted by venue staff. It also says he stepped down as managing director of hotels at Endeavour Group in 2021. He later returned as a director of Endeavour and ALH Group, replacing his father, and left again in 2024 amid tensions between the Mathieson family and Endeavour management. The family still holds about 15 per cent of Endeavour.
At Star Entertainment Group he was appointed a Non-Executive Director on 10 October 2025 and became Group CEO and Managing Director on 16 December 2025. Wikipedia says he took the role shortly after the Mathieson family partnered with Bally's Corporation to gain control of the casino group.
He is also Director and CEO of Bruce Mathieson Group, the hospitality business built by his father, Bruce Mathieson Snr, and a director of Ord Minnett Investment Limited. Wikipedia states that he and his family collectively own 45% of the poker machines in Victoria.
