Ameet Patel

Ameet Patel is Dual Chief Executive Officer of The Star Brisbane and The Star Gold Coast, part of The Star Entertainment Group. According to the company, he started in the role on 16 June 2026, subject to all regulatory approvals being obtained.

He has more than thirty years' experience in gaming, hospitality and operations leadership across several regions. His specialisms include strategic planning, process redesign, financial analysis, talent development and operational efficiency.

Career

Patel has held senior positions at Bally's, Penn National and Sun International. His work there centred on growth, stakeholder relations and team building in heavily regulated environments. He has held senior casino management roles and has been responsible for all aspects of his groups' gaming operations across several US markets, overseeing strategic initiatives, operating standards and day-to-day performance.

Education

Patel completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Auditing. He also holds an MBA from Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
