Wildz Casino

How much I deposited and what bonus I got

I opened an account with NZD as a currency, and decided to go for a small deposit so I can make more money with the free spins. You’re getting 200 free spins worth 0.10 NZD each, so that’s 20 NZD in free spins alone. I deposited 20, got 20 in bonus funds, and then played through 25 daily free spins for eight consecutive days.

It proved to be too slow of a pace for me – or perhaps the Wildz Casino trick worked. Have the player come back eight days in a row and he’ll lose it all. Despite winning some small amount from the 25 free spins on several occasions, each time I kept playing and I had less and less money until I lost my entire bonus, the free spins winnings, and the deposit.

The games I played and tested

I went through the usual lineup of Pragmatic Play pokies. I started with Big Bass Splash but didn’t stick around for too long as I checked the RTP and saw it’s at its lowest setting, 94.50%. I don’t want to give my money away.

So I found a good pokie that I liked, Book of Bloodlines, and I haven’t played that one before. To play a game with a high RTP I had to do some searching, and eventually settled for a game that I don’t even like very much, which is Midas Golden Touch. It’s difficult to find a high-RTP game at Wildz, I can tell you that!

The KYC and the Withdrawal

As I lost my entire deposit, in this particular instance I had nothing to withdraw so didn’t go through the KYC check at all. You check the How other players rate section to see what other players have to say about the withdrawal procedure at Wildz Casino.

Welcome Bonus at Wildz Casino

The welcome bonus at Wildz is 100% up to NZ$1000, which means we’re technically getting more than other players, as 500 EUR is around NZ$890. Choice!

Anyway, you need to deposit a minimum of NZ$10 to qualify for the bonus. On top of the cash you get, you’ll also receive a total of 200 free spins, 25 each day for a period of 8 days, on these pokies: Sweet Bonanza, Money Train 2, Eastern Emeralds, Razor Shark, Gonzo’s Quest Megaways, Midas Golden Touch, Deadwood, John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen.

Now take a squiz at this: you know how most casinos limit the playthrough contribution of table games to 10% and set the contribution of live games to 0%? Well, Wildz Casino has both set to 50%!

This would mean that the Wildz Casino welcome bonus is, in fact, one of the best table game / live casino bonuses I’ve seen. The wagering requirement would be 70x the bonus amount if you’d play live games or table games only. Sweet!

The Bonus Terms & Conditions at Wildz Casino seem very good to me. In fact, one of the best I’ve seen lately. You know, most casinos have a minimum deposit of NZ$10 but they ask that you deposit NZ$20 to get the bonus. Not at Wildz – NZ$10 will do.

The welcome bonus at Wildz is a very good one, but it’s best for two groups of players. One are small players who will literally deposit NZ$10 and get NZ$10 plus NZ$20 in free spins, and the other group are table game and live dealer players. This is a blackjack bonus if I ever saw one!

Key Terms and Conditions

• Playthrough requirement is 35x the bonus on slots
• Playthrough requirement is 35x the bonus on table games and live dealer games
• Video poker doesn’t contribute to wagering requirements
• Some slots have a 0% contribution (see below)
• Maximum allowed bet is 5 NZD
• Free spins are worth 0.10 NZD each
• There doesn’t seem to be a maximum win from free spins
• You got 60 days to play through your bonus

List of excluded games

You can technically play these games while you have an active bonus (some casinos would forfeit your bonus if you did this), as at Wildz casino they will simply have a 0% contribution to your wagering requirements. These are the pokies that are excluded from bonus contribution:

1429 Uncharted Seas, Bloodsuckers, Beautiful Bones Dead or Alive, Dead or Alive 2, Eggomatic, Eye of the Kraken, Gemix, Jack Hammer 2, Pearls of India, Scrooge, Secrets of Atlantis, Sea Hunter, Steam Tower, Tower Quest, Viking Runecraft, Lil Devil, The Wish Master, Kingmaker, Beautiful Bones, Wild Swarm, Blazing Bull, Hellcatraz, Street Fighter II, Royal Mint, Marching Legions, Extreme 7, Book of 99.

Games you can play at Wildz Casino

I must say, Wildz nearly lost me as a customer when I visited the lobby and saw Mega Fortune as the #3 most popular pokie. The 2009 NetEnt title most certainly is not – and there was no sign of the most popular pokie series in the world right now, Big Bass. How is that a list of Popular slots then?

This means that this is actually a list of slots that Wildz wants to promote to you, for one reason or another, and not your one-stop shop where you’ll have all the most popular pokies in New Zealand (as is the case with some other casinos). In other words, Wildz isn’t tailored to a Kiwi customer. If you’re comparing lineups, our online pokies list shows what’s hot with Kiwi players.

That being said, there are TONS of pokies here, it’s just that Wildz is doing a poor job promoting them. There are exclusive pokies too. You’ll see the offer of this casino in all its glory if you click All Slots. There, pokies are listed by developer. Notable absentees are Fortune Factory, Gameburger, Reel Kingdom and Spinplay Games.

I’ve had some issues with loading certain pokies. I couldn’t get 9 Pots of Gold and Hand of Anubis to load. There was just a neverending spinner (see the screenshot).

Wildz Casino didn’t resist the urge to reduce the RTP of Pragmatic Play pokies to their lowest value, as you can see in my RTP Test. Whatever game you intend to play, open the Information page and try to find out what the RTP of the game you’re playing really is.

Wild Casino has a very limited number of payment methods available that exclude some common ones such as PayPal and cryptocurrencies. Bank transfers are available but not locally in New Zealand so it’s an international transfer that will take a while. For all practical purposes, this is an e-wallet only casino. If you prefer e-wallets like Payz, our ecoPayz casinos list has more NZ sites that accept it.

Interestingly, there is nothing regarding maximum withdrawals anywhere on the Wildz Casino website. We may assume that this is at management’s discretion and is varying between different levels of accounts.

Wildz Casino Company Information and Licencing

Wildz.com is owned and operated by Rootz Limited, a company registered under the laws of Malta – company registration number C83903, with a registered office at Ewropa Business Centre, Level 3-701, Dun Karm Street, Malta. Rootz Limited is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority (“MGA”), under licence number MGA/B2C/599/2018, issued on 30th April 2019.

This means that when you play at Wildz, you are protected by the MGA licence. There is a link on which you can lodge a complaint: https://www.mga.org.mt/player-hub/lodge-a-complaint/

Sister Casinos

Rootz is actually a casino platform, launched in 2018, so it inherently allows for creation of multiple casinos. Wildz is the pinnacle product, with only three more casinos in existence: Chipz, Spinz and Caxino. The four casinos are almost carbon copies of each other – if the branding is gone then you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart.

Complaints and Disputes

Complaints and disputes are first handled in-house by the customer support and the respective legal team, and if you’re not satisfied then you can contact the Malta Gaming Authority or some third-party conflict resolution service.

Customer Support

You can contact customer support via live chat and email 24/7 if you’re a registered and logged in customer, as there’s no way to reach live chat if you’re not logged in. This kind of defeats the purpose – maybe you have a question prior to registering an account, a problem with registering an account, have lost access to your account or it was closed by the casino? I’d love to have live chat available in those cases.

How other players rate Wildz Casino

Opinions on Wildz Casino are a mixed bag of 10s and 1s, so to speak. People who don’t encounter a problem will give it a 10 because all went well, and those who don’t manage to withdraw money give it a 1.

There are quite a few players who didn’t get paid by Wildz. What I read were some worrying signs that the casino keeps requesting more verification documents, such as copies of bank statements, proof that some card has expired, et cetera. They keep asking until they find something that you don’t have, e.g. water bill. I hate seeing that. These are tricks you use when you don’t want to pay someone. The people that were complaining all had big withdrawals that were locked, while smaller players report being able to withdraw money without any problems.

My advice is always the same – make screenshots of everything. You might need them.

Is Wildz Casino legit or a scam?

Wildz looks – and don’t take my word for it – like a casino that’s designed to compete on the market and earn some money. All are here to make money, of course, but there are levels to how dedicated casinos are to pleasing the players. Some casinos just create a basic gaming environment, others would seemingly split the sea to keep you as a customer. Wildz is, in my personal opinion, the former. The shiny modern casino website that may or may not pay you your winnings.
